Bringing home a new puppy is exciting!  Don't forget we have a free guide that goes over all you need to know when bringing how a new Amstaff puppy HERE. This is a list of items that will be helpful:

1. **Collar and Leash**: For walks and outings. Make sure the collar is properly fitted and not too tight.

2. **ID Tags**: Include your puppy's name and your contact information in case they get lost.

3. **Food and Water Bowls**: Stainless steel or ceramic bowls are best as they are easy to clean and difficult for puppies to chew.

4. **Puppy Food**: Choose a high-quality puppy food appropriate for your puppy's breed and size.

5. **Treats**: For training and rewards. Opt for small, soft treats that are easy for puppies to chew and digest.

6. **Crate or Dog Bed**: Provide a comfortable sleeping area for your puppy. A crate can also be used for house training.

7. **Toys**: Provide a variety of toys to keep your puppy entertained and stimulated. Chew toys, plush toys, and interactive toys are all great options.

8. **Puppy Shampoo**: Choose a gentle, puppy-specific shampoo for bathing your puppy.

9. **Brush and Comb**: Depending on your puppy's coat type, you may need a brush and/or comb for grooming.

10. **Poop Bags**: For cleaning up after your puppy during walks.

11. **Puppy Training Pads**: Useful for house training, especially if you live in an apartment or don't have easy access to a yard.

12. **Puppy Training Treats**: Use high-value treats specifically for training sessions.

13. **Chew Toys**: Puppies love to chew, so provide plenty of appropriate chew toys to keep them from chewing on furniture or other items.

14. **Stain and Odor Remover**: Accidents happen during house training, so have a good quality stain and odor remover on hand.

15. **First Aid Kit**: Include basic supplies like bandages, antiseptic, and tweezers in case of minor injuries.

16. **Puppy Gate**: Useful for restricting your puppy's access to certain areas of your home.

17. **Puppy Training Books or Guides**: Educate yourself on how to properly care for and train your new puppy.

18. **Appointment with Veterinarian**: Schedule a veterinary check-up for your puppy to ensure they are healthy and up to date on vaccinations.

19. **Heartworm Preventative and Flea/Tick Treatment**: Discuss with your veterinarian the appropriate preventative measures for your puppy.
